Johanne’s Mango Curry Cream Cheese Dip

My friends Johanne and Dan had a group of us for dinner last night and it was delicious as usual.  Johanne made this flavorful and easy dip, serving it with cranberry pecan crisps.  It could also be served as part of a crudite, that is, with fresh vegetable sticks of celery, carrot, peppers etc.

 

Prep time:  5 minutes

Yield:  2 cups

Ingredients:

1 block(250 grams or about 1 cup) of light cream cheese softened at room temperature- use regular cream cheese if that is what you have.

1/2 cup mango chutney- Sharwood is a good name brand

2 teaspoons of curry paste or curry powder

Directions:

1.  Mix all ingredients together very well and let sit for in the refrigerator for a couple of hours if you can so that the curry flavor really comes out.

2.  Serve with your favorite cocktail crackers or some vegetable sticks.
