I love using the rasp, but it only works well if its nice and sharp, so be careful of your knuckles when you are using it. I zest oranges, lemons and limes on it. I grate ginger, garlic and nutmeg. Use it for anything you want a really fine grate. One half of mine is a larger grate size than the other half. You can get it at any kitchen store. You can hold it in your hand, with one end being supported against your cutting board while you grate or lay it across the top of a bowl for support and grate right into the bowl.
